Aspen Environmental Services is a first class business! Dennis, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable on radon gas remediation and the best way to eradicate it from your life. Not only does he commit to absolutely getting rid of the problem, I can tell that he genuinely cares for the client's well being and health. My husband and I were selling our house at the time we needed the radon system installed. So with 3 small children and a 2 week time frame till closing, Aspen Environmental Services covered everything! They fit us into their schedule without hesitation and saw to it that we met our deadline. With all the commotion it was such a relief to have Aspen Environmental Services take a load off my mind. I didn't have to babysit this project because Aspen Environmental never dropped the ball! I have never met a company so willing to cooperate and show understanding to coordinate with all the pressures that go with selling a house and everyday life. Aspen Environmental is an honest company that truly works off integrity. I would recommend Aspen Environmental to anyone needing radon abatement and I will definitely be calling them when we buy our next house. I have even talked to the school my students attend about testing for radon gas.

Having seen a close friend die at 38 from lung cancer and radon gas exposure, I have witnessed first hand the risk of long term exposure to radon gas in the home. As a result of that experience, Aspen Environmental Services was contracted to install a radon mitigation system in my home. They were able to reduce levels from 17 to 1. I found Dennis to be professional, courteous and prompt with installation and follow up. I continue to recommend Dennis and Aspen Environmental to friends, family and patients.

We chose Aspen Environmental Services, Inc. because Dennis Elkins appeared trustworthy, knowledgeable, and professional. He seemed to understand our concerns; he took the time to explain exactly what he intended to do to mitigate the radon. In fact, he drove me around the neighborhood so we could see what other similar installations in Pueblo West looked like. He did not pressure us at all; instead he followed up with a bid detailing the cost and precise installation procedures. The installation itself took the better part of a day. The work was not invasive at all; in fact, the window well where the system was installed looked exactly the same upon completion. The river rock was replaced and no damage was done to the windows, the well, or the surrounding landscaping (which was surprising given the depth of the hole). Dennis explained how everything worked, including the power panel and exactly why we shouldn't seal the subterranean exterior patio drains (yet), as they may only have an inconsequential affect, and the risk of flooding would outweigh a possible miniscule reduction in radon. We are very pleased with the results. My husband says "knowing that we have successfully gone from 15.5 pCi/L to .8 pCi/L makes me feel good about spending time downstairs reading."

Aspen Environmental Services installed a radon mitigation reduction service for us. I checked several local companies and ended up choosing Aspen Environmental. Since they have many years of doing this type of work, they demonstrated their professional ethics and integrity. They were not only responsive and professional but reasonable as well. Our radon is now down from over 20 to less than one. I would strongly recommend their services to anyone concerned about the welfare of their family!

Last year we bought a home in West Pueblo. At the suggestion of our realtor, we had a Radon test done. It was 19, very high. The top company was recommended for the best price, most knowledgeable and proven record of results. Aspen Environmental ranked the top of the list. Dennis Elkins' knowledge is unsurpassed on this subject. He answered all the questions, took our high numbers of Radon level and reduced them to nearly nothing. The new home is Radon free. The home we were selling in Colorado Springs tested high. The new buyers wanted it below 1.0. Dennis spent a day covering the crawl space with a special plastic and lead-out lines to the eradication unit. It runs for pennies a day, very quiet, but took it out of the house in 4 days. The home inspector tested it and yes, it went below 1.0. This is a gas you don't want to breathe. I read on-line about all the systems in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, cost, follow up, guarantees, knowledge of the future, resale inspections (this info. that a property has Radon, stays on the record if you try to sell later on), and the perfect install. Aspen filled the whole list of questions, and now that it is painted to match the house, we don't really notice it. Neighbors are doing the same; they do not want it in the house. Don't buy a home without a test. Call Dennis and let the testing tell the tale. You don't want a cancer causing gas in the home, period. Be sure you are dealing with a person that can really take this out of the basement. This is your final objective, which the company you hire will put in the best system for your style of home. Also, they will be back to take care of any problems. A true, time tested, Radon Specialist, I highly recommend Dennis and his company. Great service.

We selected Dennis because he was honest and on time. We checked out his references and they were positive. Dennis took the radon levels in our home from 57 pCi/L to <0.3 pCi/L which is the lowest level the laboratory will report. We have had the mitigation system for over 5 years with no problems. He also found a venting issue with the hot water heater that was affecting our basement air quality.
